Summary:
The Maintenance Apprentice, under general supervision, is responsible for providing support to the Packaging and Brewery Maintenance team.
This is an entry level technician position with opportunities to learn and progress.
The employee hired into this position is responsible for both routine and un-planned maintenance, general organization of parts and workspaces, and learning all operational systems from materials handling through palletizing.
The Maintenance Apprentice is expected to be familiar with mechanical systems and should be comfortable working with tools.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
Replacing valve seats and actuators Replacing pump seals Repairing packaging equipment Assisting in machine change-overs Assisting in organization and labelling of spare parts Learning all mechanical systems on bottle lines, can line, and keg line Ensuring all work spaces are clean and organized Other projects as assigned REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Mechanical experience such as familiarity with power tools, mechanical systems, heating systems and pumps highly preferred, but not required Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information pertaining to brew systems and engineering Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, precise and reproducible data Ability to operate in a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated attitude with ability to take initiative, act promptly and be proactive Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems WHAT FIRESTONE WALKER OFFERS:
