The Receptionist/Office Assistant is responsible for answering phones for both offices, the daily operations of the Paso Robles front desk and reception area, as well as the general office duties.
Candidates must have a professional phone manner and be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Prior legal office experience is a plus but not necessarily required.
A keen attention to detail, adherence to deadlines and strict confidentiality are absolutely required.
This role interacts with all teams in both office to complete offices.
The successful candidate will be able to multitask, have strong written and verbal communication skills.
General
Responsibilities:
Answer phones for both Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo offices with professional demeanor, direct calls and/or take messages as appropriate Draft email and letters at direction of attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants Open, process and distribute incoming mail Upload digital files received, rename and organize as needed Create physical and electronic files for new clients and/or new matters General typing and data entry Keep office appearance neat and orderly Assist attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants as needed Errands and general office duties as assigned Skills and Key Competencies:
Professional phone manner Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask Punctual, reliable, dependable Strong commitment to confidentiality Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in Business or Office Administration preferred.
Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure; ability to prioritize tasks; ability to manage time effectively; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with management and staff; ability to maintain confidentiality.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
